Highly qualified staff use an array of treatments to bring recovery to those challenged with serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders and addictions.   If you or a loved once needs assistance with any of the following mental health disorders:

• Major depression
• Anxiety disorders
• Phobias
• Schizophrenia
• Bi-polar disorder
• Other mood disorders
• Post-traumatic stress disorder
• Homelessness due to mental illness

CHILDREN’S COUNSELING & MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

As a parent, you want what is best for your child, but it’s not always easy to know what type of support he or she needs. Family & Children’s Services is the place to turn when children’s problems seem overwhelming and too difficult to handle alone.

Compassionate professionals will provide your child and family with individually tailored services designed to overcome a wide range of emotional, behavioral or relationship problems — from mild to severe. They’ll work together to help your child:

• Increase positive behaviors at home and in school
• Strengthen social skills and self-esteem
• Develop self-control and manage anger
• Restabilize following a psychiatric crisis
• Succeed in school
• Decrease conflict with family members, teachers and peers
• Heal from traumatic effects of abuse
• Recover from emotional distress

MOBILE PSYCHIATRIC CRISIS SERVICES (COPES)

When you feel lost, lonely, trapped or have no where else
to turn for help, turn to Family & Children’s Services.

Community Outreach Psychiatric Emergency Services (COPES) is a telephone and mobile crisis service that responds around the clock to children and adults experiencing a severe emotional or behavioral disturbance or psychiatric emergency,
including but not limited to the following:
• Threats of suicide
• Suicidal thoughts
• Self-injury
• Aggressive behavior
• Threats to harm others
• Depression
• Severe emotional upset or inability to care for daily needs
• Poor reality testing or thought disorder
• Overwhelming anxiety or panic attacks

The COPES team will assess the level of risk, provide crisis support by phone and, when needed, go directly to the person in crisis to intervene and stabilize the situation. They can work with family members, friends, law enforcement and other professionals to ensure safe resolutions and intervention plans are put into place.

Help is just a phone call away. COPES is available for
and will come to you, anytime of the day or night.
